Chris Bennett
Head of Strategy, Core Solutions
Chris Bennett is a senior leader in risk and insurance technology with nearly three decades of experience in client service, sales, and product management. As Chief Strategy Officer for Origami’s Core Solutions division, Chris is responsible for guiding the division’s growth and development. This includes forging industry alliances and building new capabilities and solution sets to address the dynamic and evolving needs of a diverse clientele, including property-casualty insurers, managing general agents (MGAs), program administrators, third-party claims administrators (TPAs), risk pools, and brokers.
In 2019, when Origami Risk formally established its Core Solutions division, Chris was appointed as its president and quickly oversaw the division’s rapid expansion. Under his leadership, the division attracted a growing clientele and built a full suite of end-to-end, integrated SaaS solutions for core functions backed by Origami’s strong service culture. With the division maintaining its growth, Chris was appointed to his current role in 2023, enabling him to apply his vision and leadership to guide Core Solutions continued development.
Chris began his career in 1997 with CS STARS, where he was a vice president and contributed significantly to the firm’s growth during his 14-year tenure before joining Origami in 2011. He earned a B.S. degree in computer software engineering from DePaul University.
Earne Bentley
President, Risk Solutions
Earne Bentley is an accomplished risk management technology executive who has successfully led various sales and service practices throughout his career. Since 2019, he has held the position of President, Risk Solutions at Origami Risk. In this capacity, Earne spearheads the strategic direction of the development, sales, and service for a range of products including RMIS, GRC, EHS, and Healthcare solutions. His responsibilities also extend to ensuring Origami’s values and practices are brought to life for the company’s clients and employees. Additionally, he actively seeks and guides opportunities for expansion and growth through the development of new business relationships. Earne is the recipient of a Business Insurance Breakout Award and an alumnus of Auburn University.
Jose Cannon
Vice President of Sales, Core Solutions
Jose Cannon is a skilled sales leader with 30 years of sales experience. He brings extensive sales leadership experience with prominent technology firms serving the insurance industry. As Vice President of Sales, Core Solutions at Origami Risk, Jose is responsible for team alignment, sales growth, business development, and strategic alliances.
Prior to joining Origami Risk, Jose served as Senior Vice President of Sales at FINEOS, where he helped integrate Limelight Health following its acquisition in 2020. His previous experience also includes numerous sales leadership positions at several property & casualty vendors serving the insurance carrier market, including Vice President of Sales Strategy and Customer Success at Duck Creek; Vice President of Global Sales at One Inc.; Senior Vice President, Global Sales at Enservio; and Senior Director of Sales at Guidewire, focusing on the insurer carrier market throughout the Americas.
Linus Concepcion
Co-founder, Senior Product Engineer
Linus Concepcion is an innovative senior software architect with deep technical and management experience. He has particular expertise in building high-performance technology that is elegantly designed and easy to use. Linus co-led the design and development of the Origami Risk product and is currently responsible for managing ongoing development of new features and capabilities. A skilled technologist, Linus has extensive experience in anticipating clients' needs and developing the exact technology to meet such demands. Before forming Origami Risk, Linus was the Director of Software development for CS STARS where he was responsible for the output of 60 developers. In all, Linus spent 13 years with CS STARS in positions of increasing responsibility including programmer, lead architect and QA manager.
Timothy Cope
Co-founder, Senior DevOps Engineer
Timothy Cope is a resourceful and experienced software engineer and architect specializing in the design and delivery of successful web applications for large enterprises. He has a large breadth of experience in different technologies including 16 years of building enterprise systems and 12 years of RMIS experience. Tim maintains a complete understanding of enterprise software development and has extensive experience in technical analysis, design solutions, and product customizations. Tim co-led the design and development of the Origami Risk product and is currently responsible for data transformation and the innovative straight-through-processing technology pioneered by Origami Risk. Previously, Tim served as Director of Software Development at Marsh where he managed a team of 15 software developers building a web-based application framework.

Nikki Facchini is a dynamic HR leader committed to developing strategic relationships with business partners to help move organizations forward. As Chief People Officer of HR at Origami Risk, Nikki is responsible for all aspects of HR including talent acquisition and retention, organizational design, employee development, benefits, compensation, and employee relations.
Prior to joining Origami Risk, Nikki was the VP of People for SpotHero where she oversaw the overall strategy of the People function focusing on building and implementing the programs and infrastructure to develop, engage, and retain the best talent for the company.
Nikki holds a bachelor’s degree in Science with a focus in Human Resources Management from National Louis University. She also holds a Senior Professional of Human Resources certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
Steve Fischer
Co-founder and Vice President of Development
Steve Fischer is a creative technology executive with more than 24 years of experience serving the Insurance Risk Management industry. He is a senior software engineer and developer with deep technology and management experience. Steve co-led the design and development of the Origami Risk product and currently leads the development team. Steve is also responsible for the analytic tools in Origami Risk including reporting and the risk dashboard. Prior to Origami, Steve served as Chief Technology Officer for CS STARS LLC, leading a team of over 300 technology professionals in eight cities and four countries.
Jaime Henry
Vice President of Product
Jaime Henry is an energetic senior leader who has been a proud Origamian since 2015 and brings nearly 20 years of client support, product management, and strategy experience to her work with both clients and colleagues. She loves the company's culture of collaboration and focus on client satisfaction and brings that to her work as the Vice President of Product to drive product strategy and execution for the platform and each of the markets Origami serves. In her time at Origami, Jaime has worked as the Director of Market Strategy, Healthcare Market Strategy Lead, and Service Delivery Manager.
Jaime's work history includes various technical and management roles at CS STARS and Rush University Medical Center in addition to working for luxury retailer Zadok Jewelers.
Jaime received a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Saint Mary's College of Notre Dame, Indiana.
Alec Horton
Vice President of Operations and Analytics
Alec Horton is the Vice President of Operations & Analytics at Origami Risk, leading a dynamic team dedicated to supporting Origami’s business units. He takes a data-driven approach to Operations, spanning the areas of revenue and service operations, tooling enablement, and business analytics. Additionally, Alec oversees the company’s strategic initiatives and corporate development efforts. Alec has a versatile background with Origami, having held multiple positions across operations, finance, and corporate strategy.
Prior to joining Origami, Alec worked in private equity at Carrick Capital Partners and investment banking at Credit Suisse.
Alec graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a B.B.A. in Finance, Investment & Banking.
Mike Kaplan
President, Core Solutions
Mike is an experienced executive with expertise in operations, customer success, professional services, business management, and go-to-market strategy. As President of Core Solutions at Origami, Mike leads the division focused on solutions for insurers, MGAs, TPAs, and risk pools.
Prior to joining Origami, Mike was the Chief Customer Officer at Integrate. Mike spent ten years at Salesforce in global leadership roles focused on operational scale across multiple functions and regions including, Vice President of Marketing Cloud’s Interaction Studio business, Vice President of Global Success, Vice President of Global Services and operations, and Vice President of North America Services & Global Operations. Mike joined Salesforce via the $2.5 billion acquisition of ExactTarget in 2013, where he spent two years helping scale the professional services business.
Mike received his MBA in Finance from Butler University and has bachelor’s degrees in Operations Management and Computer Information Systems from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Troy Michalski
Vice President of Professional Services, Core Solutions
Troy Michalski is an accomplished business and technology transformation professional with more than 15 years of experience in the Financial Services and Property/Casualty Insurance industries. As the Vice President of Professional Services for Origami’s Core Solutions division, Troy is responsible for professional services, strategic alliances, and business development. Troy’s background in management consulting, system integration, change management, and client success enablement will continue to shape our industry-leading client service.
Prior to joining Origami Risk, Troy worked with ING as a Sr. Project Manager, at Aviva USA as a Program Manager, and owned and operated a consulting firm with a specialty focus in large-scale business and technology transformation initiatives.
Troy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Iowa.
Mike Pecak
Vice President of Professional Services, Risk Solutions
Mike Pecak is an accomplished executive with more than 20 years of experience leading high-performing, global organizations providing IT managed services, enterprise software, and SaaS solutions to the institutional asset management and capital markets industries. As the Vice President of Professional Services for Origami’s Risk Solutions division, Mike is responsible for leading the Professional Services and Client Success functions serving Origami’s RMIS, GRC, EHS, ERM, and healthcare clients.
Prior to joining Origami Risk, Mike served for 9 years as a Managing Director at Eze Software, now a business unit within the public company SS&C Technologies, Inc., where he led the unit’s Professional Services, Client Solutions, Product Solutions, Customer Success, and Service Operations functions. Mike previously held senior leadership positions in both Technology Operations and Global Client Services for the same business during its tenure as a wholly owned subsidiary of TPG Capital; of ConvergEx Group LLC; of Barclays plc; and of Lehman Brothers, Inc.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Robert Petrie

Bob Petrie is recognized as an innovative and dynamic leader in risk management technology and operations. He is frequently quoted in trade magazines, has been profiled in industry publications, and speaks often at national and local conferences and meetings. Bob co-founded Origami Risk in 2009, and the company quickly became a leader in the RMIS Industry. Under Bob's leadership, Origami Risk has formed partnerships with leading brokers and risk consultants to provide advanced technology and improved service to their clients, including risk managers, financial officers, insurance companies, brokers, and third-party administrators. Origami Risk is an independent company; owned entirely by its management. Our sole focus is to help our clients improve efficiency across the policy lifecycle and provide advanced analytics to measure, manage, and mitigate the total cost of risk.
Bob is an experienced senior executive with a long history of founding successful technology businesses. Prior to Origami Risk, Bob was the Head of Global Operations and Client Technology for Marsh with more than 3,000 employees in 11 countries. As the executive in charge of improving operational efficiency and client satisfaction, Bob helped design and implement a new business model for Marsh. Bob also founded and was the long-time CEO of CS STARS (later, Marsh ClearSight). Under Bob's leadership, Bob grew STARS to be the largest RMIS company in the world, as reported by Business Insurance magazine. While working at Marsh, Bob also formed and led other high-growth technology businesses including Whereiwork.com, BenefitSmart.com, and STARS Audit.
Stephen Sandberg
Vice President of Sales, Core Solutions
Stephen Sandberg is a skilled senior leader in the insurance and risk management software industry providing innovative software solutions to insurers, MGAs, TPAs, and risk pools. He has over 18 years of core insurance technology experience in sales, client service, and product management. As the Vice President of Sales for the Core Solutions division at Origami, Stephen is responsible for all aspects of business development, including go-to-market strategy, pipeline generation, strategic alliances, and recruiting and coaching the best individuals to help scale the delivery of client value.
Prior to joining Origami Risk, Stephen was in sales leadership at CS STARS where he focused on relationship management, client retention, and expanded sales. Stephen was also responsible for managing CS STARS’ Asia-Pacific operations, including implementations, ongoing support, and product development/roadmap.
Stephen holds a B.A. in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business and an MBA from Georgia State University. He also holds his ARM designation.
Daniel Silverthorn
General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer
Daniel Silverthorn serves as Origami Risk's general counsel and chief administrative officer. In these roles, Daniel oversees the legal, human resources, and information security affairs of the company, while also providing strategic insight as a member of the executive management team. Prior to joining Origami Risk, Daniel served as VP, Legal & Senior Managing Counsel for Trustwave, a Chicago-based cybersecurity company. He began his legal career as a corporate associate with Dechert LLP in New York and Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in Chicago. Daniel earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He also has an MBA from Xavier University and a bachelor's degree in information technology from Central Michigan University.
Rick Stearns
Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer
Rick Stearns serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer for Origami Risk and oversees all financial activities including strategic planning, financial planning and analysis, customer insights and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, accounting, tax, and treasury. Rick has over 25 years of experience working in financial services and has advised numerous public and private companies on matters relating to corporate finance and strategy.
Prior to joining Origami, Rick was the Founder and Managing Partner of Riker Capital, a Chicago-based merchant banking firm. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Lazard.
Rick received the Dean’s Award for Academic Achievement at J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management where he earned a Master’s in Management. He received his B.A. from Amherst College.
Curtis Webb
Vice President of Development
Curtis Webb is the Vice President of Development at Origami, overseeing the continued enhancement of Origami’s SaaS platform and solutions portfolio. Curtis is a proven leader and technologist with over 20 years of experience building performant teams and creating innovative solutions at scale.
Prior to joining Origami, Curtis served as the Vice President of Architecture and Development at Ampersand, where he was the lead architect and implemented Emmy award-winning Ad-Tech platform\technologies.
Curtis holds a Master of Business Administration from Purdue University, a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University, and various technical certifications from Amazon Web Services, Scrum.org, and Okta.
Michelle Wetherill
Vice President of Solution Architecture, Core Solutions
An accomplished risk and insurance technology professional with over 20 years of client service, product management, and consulting experience, Michelle Wetherill serves as the vice president of solution architecture for Origami's Core Solutions division. Her responsibilities include overseeing the division's strategic service plan; establishing and maintaining standard engagement methodologies for frameworks, tools, and resources; and managing the project estimation model for Core implementation projects.
Before joining Origami in 2011, Michelle held a variety of client management and product management roles with the RMIS provider CS STARS.
Michelle earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems at the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business.
Andrew Yeager
Vice President of Sales, Risk Solutions
Andrew is an experienced Revenue Leader with 20+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, customer experience, and P&L management. As Origami Risk Vice President of Sales, Andrew has responsibility for all aspects of the Risk Division’s sales motion, including Marketing Strategy, Business Development, Pipeline Generation, New Logo Sales, Technical Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, and GTM Strategy. Andrew also focuses on recruiting and coaching the best individuals to help scale the delivery of client value. Andrews is a firm believer that all things begin with the customer and thus strives to create an environment at Origami where Colleagues focus on customer satisfaction and value proposition delivery.
Prior to joining Origami, Andrew served in various executive roles at IBM, most recently leading the Healthcare and SLED Market Sales Organization as Vice President of Software Sales. Andrew also served as IBM’s Vice President of Data and AI Software, responsible for managing IBM’s multi-billion-dollar Data and AI software business in the Americas. While in these roles, Andrew drove significant growth and profitability with ownership of Field and Technical Sales, Partner Ecosystem, Digital Sales, and Marketing. Before IBM, Andrew held leadership roles at Cintas, Brambles, and Salesforce.com, focusing on marketing, strategy, sales, customer experience, and P&L management.
Andrew is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford Ohio, with a major in Marketing and a minor in Finance. He received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2011.
